50 Greatest Songs You’ve Never Heard Before

Well, okay, you might’ve heard one or two of ’em. But listen to the rest as soon as possible.

Some of the artists on this list (like Joe Grushecky) are the Emily Dickinsons and Robert Johnsons of their time: Supremely gifted artists toiling in relative anonymity, so that some distant future generation might better appreciate their work. Others (like Bruce Springsteen) are world-renowned masters who, for unexplained reasons, sometimes have their best work relegated to the lost world of B-sides and unreleased bootlegs.

Needless to say, this isn’t intended to be a comprehensive list-- just a guide to some great songs that don’t get nearly the attention they deserve.
